About the Role:

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer based at our Eastern Creek, NSW campus to provide technical assistance to our employees. You will install, troubleshoot and work across a broad range of technologies across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests. If you are computer-savvy and enjoy supporting end users, we would like to meet you. To succeed in this role, you should have a problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions. This role reports to the Director of Technology Services.

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers, 
  • Server administration (Windows) including Active Directory, running backups and permissions
  • Cloud Administration (Office 365, DNS Services)
  • Telecommunications (Understanding of optical and copper networks and patching of telecommunication/customer systems (Cross Connects)
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests internally 
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Setting up laptops, user accounts and mobile phones for new employees
  • Responsible for managing and tagging of all corporate ICT assets
  • Provide Audio Visual / Conferencing Support (Crestron)
  • Documentation / Reporting to Management

About You:

  • Proven work experience in a Desktop Support or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows environment
  • Expert and hands-on knowledge of installing and troubleshooting office hardware and software (MS 365 etc)
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting (remote/in person) and provide clear instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Customer-oriented attitude 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and expand skillset

Essential:

Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
